Atena horseshoes, with their unique Sandwich system, offer one of the most comfortable shoeing solutions for your horse.

Shaped (cold) in the traditional way, these three layered shoes are designed to absorb shocks, but also and especially deleterious hight frequency vibrations.

The top, alloy, layer on the foot site takes the nail heads, the middle layer is a high quality rubber compound and the bottom (ground) layer is the wearing surface.

The result is that vibration absorption occurs within the shoes and is not transmitted to the horse's limbs.

Along with Atena shoes, there are, a punch which facilitates countersinking the nail heads and small rubber plugs, used to cover the nail holes.

Pathology

Shoeing with Sandwich shoes is recommended to prevent and cure, arthritis, periostitis, stress fractures, inflammation of ligaments, tendonitis and to avoid the onset of navicular disease.
